This project aimed to test the deployment of solar panels and lithium-ion storage solutions tailored to a specific light industrial facility. Funded through ERA’s biotechnology, electricity and sustainable transportation (BEST) challenge, ENMAX planned to shave demand peaks and maximize on-site renewable energy generation at the facility to reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs). The funding relationship was ultimately cancelled in 2021.
