Operating in more than 100 countries with over 300,000 employees, General Electric is a global infrastructure, finance and media company with strong roots in Canada’s industrial sector.

In collaboration with the University of Alberta and Alberta Innovates, GE developed a ceramic membrane-based technology for the capture of sequestration-quality carbon in syngas streams. ERA supported a project to demonstrate the technology at an end-user site.
